A Level is an Advanced level and AS Level is Advanced Subsidiary Level. AS/A Levels are a specialized program in which students ideally take up to three subjects but outstanding students may take up to five subjects. AS Level contains half the content of A Level. This gives students the flexibility to complete AS Level in their own way. Some subjects can be started at AS Level and extended to A Level. Students can take the assessment for their full A Level at the end of the second year. AS & A Level examinations are held twice a year in June and November. Cambridge International A Level is reported on a grade scale from A* (highest) to E (minimum required performance).
