American Curriculum

American Curriculum: The American Curriculum is based on American Common Core State Standards for English, Language Arts, Math, History & Geography, and Next-Generation Science Standards. The Education system followed is K-12(Kindergarten to Grade 12) from age of 5-18, The system is broken into 3 stages- Elementary School (grade K-5), Middle School (Grade 6-8) & High School (Grade 9-12). Grade 10 is called Sophomore Year and Grades 11 &12 are the High School years Students are offered a variety of co-curricular activities to ensure they develop fully as well rounded individuals. It helps students identify subjects that they can excel in and make the most of their talents. Prepares students for University and beyond by encouraging creativity, reasoning, critical thinking and social skills. Grading in the US curriculum can be of 2 types- Alphabetical grading from A-F where A+ is the highest and F being the lowest. Also there is a GPA scoring system (Grade Point Average). It is the sum of all course grades throughout high school year divided by the total number of credits. A GPA of 3.0 - 3.5 is considered good at many high schools, Being one of the most premium educational systems, it is accepted worldwide.
